Pete was a two sport athlete from 1973-1976. Won 6 athletic letters 3 in Football and 3 in Baseball. 2 year varsity starter in baseball for manager, John Pendino Winning a city championship in 1975. Losing in the Public league Championship at Veteran’s station my senior year. Starting QB senior year Finished the season with a record of 5-5. Member of the choir all 3 years. Participated in three musicals Guys and Dolls, Carnival where I played Jocquot my junior year and Mame. Graduated from Temple University and Eastern College. Coached baseball and football for over 30 years. Coached football at the high school lever for 11 years at Camden Catholic in New Jersey and 3 years at Everglades high school in Florida. Frank Strati was a student and athlete at South Philadelphia high School from 1980 through 1983. During his time at South Philadelphia high School he majored in art education and played on the varsity baseball and football teams. He played on these teams all three years at southern and was named Captain on both teams. He was selected to the all public football team and baseball team all three years at Southern. He also was selected to the all state team his senior year. Frank has made his career in the Philadelphia hospitality and restaurant business and over the years has become well known by many sports and entertainment celebrities. Frank makes his home in the city of Philadelphia where he lives with his wife and children. Tyrone Truitt graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1977. Tyrone was a three-year varsity letter on the Southern Track Team from 1975 through 1977. In 1976 Tyrone tied the school record for the 100-yard dash with a time of 9.9 seconds. In that same year he broke the school record for the 220-yard dash with a time of 21.9 seconds. Tyrone was known for his tenacity during track meets. His teammates would always say whether he won or lost his demeanor never changed. During his time at Southern Tyrone participated in other extra-curricular activities. Including the South Philadelphia High School Choir, Dance ensemble, and was cast member in the production of the play “Damn Yankees” in 1977.Peter Galiano ’76

In addition to being on the varsity track team for all three years, Tyrone also played on the Junior Varsity Football Team during his Sophomore and Junior years under coach Paul Delvecchia.
